Ted Eaglen is the last living pathfinder of the 8th Battalion the Parachute regiment. He volunteered for the pathfinders under the command of the legendary Lt Colonel Alistair Pearson
(The Monarch Of The Woods). Ted set off for Normandy late on the 5th of June with his fellow pathfinders their job was to mark the drop zone with Very lights which would guide in the main parachute assault.
